One of the largest airlines in Europe will start selling tickets for bitcoins
According to Stig Kyos-Mathisen, thanks to the developed payment system, it is possible to buy air tickets. Norwegian Air Shuttle customers have the option to purchase with virtual assets. A similar feature will be introduced in the spring. The ability to use cryptocurrency only applies to Norwegians. Stig became the son-in-law of the creator and leader of Norwegian Air. The company participated in the launch of NBX in 2018. The plan was to operate the exchange to support the purchase of air tickets with digital coins. It is the largest service company in Scandinavia and the third most influential in Europe. There are no announcements yet regarding which cryptocurrencies the airline will support. Presumably, the son of the founder of the company bought bitcoins before they had a record increase in price.
Far Eastern Air, a Taiwanese airline, has previously announced its full readiness to accept digital funds as payment for tickets. The UAE intends to use cryptocurrencies only for checking passengers. In addition to these communities, S7 Airlines also accepts digital money.
